European projects for schools: how to internationalize and aim at self-entrepreneurship in teaching
How the course was born
“My goal has never been just to create a company. It was to build something that actually really makes a big change in the world”— Mark Zuckerberg, founder, Facebook. With the words of a famous entrepreneur we open the page of our training activity
Business Inovation Council has carried out many Erasmus+ projects over the years and has always been close to the schools and staff that has accompanied these activities. Over time we have strengthened our expertise. On every occasion at the end of each experience the teachers who participated in all forms have always asked us to want to do something more for their school, to be able to be spokesmen of the good practices collected and shared during the internship period. Teachers, parents and students must develop entrepreneurial skills and work together in synergy by acting as “potential entrepreneurs”: networking, creating a long-term vision, innovating and training minds in the use of “divergent thinking”.
Why we built it
In reality, the questions that have always been filled to us at the end or during the realization of the activities are always the same; mainly I can summarize in the following ones.
“How can we share the experiences of internationalization that we have lived here or that our students have lived in our school? How can we help our young people to approach the world of work also in our contexts?
Our vision
We understand the school as a small business that can act on the children on the territory on the families and on the future of all. This is the starting point of our course. The course will help teachers from all over Europe to structure your business development plan in relation to your European development plan.
Our business experts and our tutors who normally carry out Erasmus+ will be at your disposal.
Our method
We try to propose experiences of relationship between students and teachers also from different European schools and face practical cases together. Our training courses are always customized according to the target group that attends them, to give each participant the opportunity to live a really useful experience. They are based on a strategic balance between formal and non-formal education, indoor and outdoor education. If possible, within the program, a morning is spent inside a local school, visiting, observing and collaborating in the realization of one or more lessons
Contents
Below we propose some basic contents that we could develop with the groups of teachers and staff attending this course.
Internationalize the school, build a European development plan, build attractive educational paths that renew learning methodologies. Finding new ones goes out to involve students in training and in its European dimension. Propose to the students paths of self-entrepreneurship. Accompany students in the enhancement of their skills useful to the labor market. Discover and build new projects also through channels such as e-twinning to concretely travel europe. Learn to socialize in school contexts and on social media the project results.
Close to Europe’s priorities
Our training activities are planned to reduce the environmental impact: we will discuss this feature together as a process to be introduced also in ordinary teaching.
At each intervention we will take stock of the inclusiveness of the methodology or the proposed teaching activity
The training actions include the use of smartphones, tablets, laptops, PCs, or in any case digital devices to experience first-hand the experience of digitization in teaching.
